पॉलीसिस्टिक किडनी रोग, जिसे पीकेडी भी कहा जाता है किडनी की एक वंशानुगत बीमारी है जो कि माता पिता से संतान में जीन के जरिये मिलती है। किडनी की इस बीमारी में किडनी के ऊपर सिस्ट बन जाते हैं जो की तरल उत्पाद से भरे होते हैं। किडनी पर बने यह सिस्ट बहुत छोटे आकार से लेकर बड़े आकार तक हो सकते हैं और इनकी संख्या लाखों में हो सकती है। स्थिति गंभीर होने पर यह सिस्ट न केवल किडनी के ऊपर बल्कि किडनी के भीतरी हिस्सों में भी हो सकते हैं। अगर इनका सही समय से उपचार न किया जाए तो इससे किडनी का आकार सामान्य से ज्यादा बड़ा होने लगता है और किडनी खराब हो सकती है।
लेकिन इसके लक्षण 30 की उम्र के बाद ही दिखाई देते हैं। पॉलीसिस्टिक किडनी रोग होने पर निम्नलिखित लक्षण दिखाई देते हैं –
पेट में तेज़ दर्द होना | पेट में गांठ होना | पेट के आकार में वृधि | पीठ के निचले हिस्से में दर्द होना | पीठ दर्द की वजह से चलने | उठने और बैठने में समस्या होना | पेशाब के रंग में बदलाव होना | खुजली होना | थकान और कमजोरी | भूख की कमी | उल्टी होना | जी मचलना | पेशाब के जरिये खून आना
पॉलीसिस्टिक किडनी रोग होने पर इसके लक्षण सामान्य से गंभीर तक हो सकते हैं।
पोलिसिस्टिक किडनी डिसीज रोग किसको हो सकता है?
वयस्को (Adult) में होने वाला पोलिसिस्टिक किडनी डिजीज रोग ऑटोजोमल डोमिनेन्ट प्रकार का वंशानुगत रोग है, जिसमें मरीज के 50 प्रतिशत यानी कुल संतानों में से आधी संतानों को यह रोग होने की संभावना रहती है।
पी. के. डी. के मरीजों के परिवार से कौन-कौन से सदस्यों की
जाँच की जानी चाहिए?
पी. के. डी. के मरीज के भाई, बहन और बच्चों की जाँच पी. के. डी. के लिए करनी चाहिए। इसके अलावा उसके माता पिता के नाई- – बहन जिनके यह बीमारी मरीज को विरासत में मिली है, उनकी भी जाँच करवानी चाहिए। पी. के. डी. रोग को फैलने से क्यों नहीं रोगा जा सकता है?
साधारणत जब पी. के. डी. का निदान होता है. उस समय मरीज की
उम्र 35 से 55 साल के आसपास होती है। ज्यादातर पी. के. डी. के.
मरीजों में इस उम्र में आने से पूर्व बच्चों का जन्म हो चुका होता है। इस कारण से पी. के. डी. को भविष्य की पीढ़ी में होने से रोका जाना असंभव है।
पी. के. डी. का किडनी पर क्या असर होता है?
• पी. के. डी. में दोनों किडनी में गुब्बारे या बुलबुले जैसे असंख्य
सिस्ट पाये जाते है।
• विविध आकार के असंख्य सिस्ट में से छोटे सिस्ट का आकार इतना छोटा होता है कि सिस्ट को नंगी आँखों से देखना संभव नही होता है और बड़े सिस्ट का आकार दस सेमी. से अधिक व्यास का भी हो सकता है।
